OUR TWILIGHT RUNS ARE FAR MORE THAN JUST A FUN RUN

Thousands of runners set Brisbane alight twice a year, running or walking under the moon and stars, experiencing incredible energy and entertainment, while supporting an important charity cause.

And now in Twilight’s eighth year, an exclusive opportunity is available for likeminded, community conscious sponsors to share in the significant brand exposure and spirit of two of the Australian running calendar’s most anticipated events.

Established in 2012 by intraining, TWILIGHT RUNS ARE MORE THAN JUST A RUNNING EVENT, WITH ENTERTAINMENT AND BUZZ LIKE NO OTHER

Here are just a few reasons why our Twilight Runs are among the most anticipated events on Australian running calendar:

AMONG THE FIRST AND LAST RACES OF THE YEAR: Bookending the start and finish of Queensland’s running season, every one of our Twilighters revels in the joy and challenge of running or walking a half marathon, 10k and 5k or a 1km kids’ race. They’re among the first and the last timed half marathon and 10km run events of the year.

LARGEST NIGHT RUNNING EVENTS: While almost all other major running events start in the morning, Twilight Runs are held at night – under the moon and stars. Thousands of participants swap their sunscreen for their glow-in-the-dark gear, lighting up the night as they smash and celebrate personal goals with their friends, families and team members.

THRIVING PARTY ATMOSPHERE: Our Twilighters know they’re going to get far more than just a run. From incredible entertainment and activities including Australia’s largest bungy runs, live music, food trucks and spectacular fireworks – it’s a huge celebration of community spirit, health and happiness.

RUN FOR CHARITY: Our runners do it because it’s good for them, the community and those who need it most. We’re proud we’ve raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support for charity causes over eight years.

FOR ALL AGES AND ABILITIES: The races are completely inclusive – for all ages and abilities. We’re proud to attract people from all walks of life, from elite and everyday runners, to beginners, kids and those in wheelchairs or people running with a blind-support person.

COORDINATED, ORGANISED AND TRUSTED: intraining Running Centre is one of the oldest and most respected brands in the running community. Run by Margot and Steve Manning, intraining provides retail, coaching, clinical rehabilitation, and events like Twilight to help people experience the joy of running.

TWILIGHT RUN UQ ON 29 APRIL 2019

As the largest of the two events, Twilight Run UQ attracts up to 6000 people from all walks of life.

THE COURSE

This flat course is fast, electric and lights up the face of every Twilight runner.

All events start on Sir William MacGregor Drive, adjacent to the University of Queensland Athletics Stadium and run along the Brisbane riverfront on closed roads.

The final 100m is run on the tartan athletics track, with grandstands lined with spectators cheering loudly for runners in the arena.

ENTERTAINMENT AND BUZZ LIKE NO OTHER

Twilight Run UQ is a spectacle – full of colour, buzz and atmosphere. We want participants to feel energised, pumped and most importantly, have fun while they run.

It’s why we go all out with the pre and post entertainment, including music and entertainment, zorb balls, face painting, and jumping castles.

It’s truly one electric evening that brings a smile to EVERYONE who comes.
