The UQ Twilight Run

The UQ Twilight Run was established in 2009 with the aim to create a unique event that welcomes participants of all abilities, whether young or old. From recreational runners through to Olympic athletes, the UQ Twilight Run is so much more than a fun run.  The event is set under the moon and stars in April and finishes within the University of Queensland athletics stadium under flood lighting. Thousands of friends, family and spectators await participants as they enter the stadium to finish a truly unique experience.

The growth of the UQ Twilight Run from 2000 participants in 2009 through to over 6000 participants, is testament to the events’ popularity within the community, attracting participants from all states and territories, New Zealand and other pacific rim countries. The latest addition to the Twilight family is the addition of the Twilight Bay Run which forms the second part of the Twilight Series and is held in September.
