OFFICIAL ROAD CLOSURES NOTICE

The annual Brisbane Twilight Running Festival 2018 will be held on Sunday 22 April. The event will again be held at the University of Queensland, St Lucia and some of the courses will include the surrounding suburbs of Dutton Park, Fairfield and Yeronga. Approximately 5,000 participants are anticipated to take place in this popular community event raising awareness for Guide Dogs Queensland our 2018 charity partner.

If you are not participating, we encourage you to join in cheering on the walkers and runners either along the course from 16:00 until 20:00 or come on down to the UQ Athletics Stadium, where free entertainment for the participants, friends and families is on offer.

There will be official road closures in place for the duration of the event to ensure the safety of participants. The following road closures will be in effect:

ST LUCIA ROAD CLOSURES

12:00-20:00 – Sir William MacGregor Drive from Sir Fred Schonell Drive & 150m west of Thynne Road.

DUTTON PARK, FAIRFIELD AND YERONGA ROAD CLOSURES

14:30-22:00 – TJ Doyle Memorial Drive & Brisbane Corso between Gladstone Road & Brisbane Corso.
14:30-22:00 – Brisbane Corso between TJ Doyle Memorial Drive & Orlando Road.

Closed roads will be managed by QLD Police, traffic controllers, and event marshals. Failure to comply with the above closures may result in penalties.
