The Twilight Half Marathon will start at the University of Queensland Running track. It will then follow the street towards Eleanor Schonell "Green" Bridge. The race will then go over the bridge followed by a turn along the Brisbane Corso near the cemetary. Runners will continue to run along the Brisbane Corso alongside the Brisbane River, before making a U-turn on the Brisbane Corso, following your way back towards the "Green" bridge.
After coming over the green bridge, Half Marathoners ONLY will turn left for an extra loop to make up the extra 1.095km. This must be completed twice in order to finish the correctly measured 21.095km Half Marathon Distance.
Start/Finish
The Half Marathon will start and finish at the Athletics Track at the University of Queensland at St Lucia.

The Twilight 10k will start at the University of Queensland Running track. It will then follow the street towards Eleanor Schonell "Green" Bridge. The race will then go over the bridge followed by a turn along the Brisbane Corso near the cemetary. Runners will continue to run along the Brisbane Corso alongside the Brisbane River, before making a U-turn on the Brisbane Corso, following your way back towards the "Green" bridge.
After coming over the green bridge, 10km Runners will turn right and head towards the finish line. 10km Runners will complete this course only once for an accurately measured 10km run

The 10km Fun Run will start and finish at the Athletics Track at the University of Queensland at St Lucia.
3km Fun Run
The Twilight 3km Run/Walk will start at the University of Queensland Running track. It will then follow the street towards Eleanor Schonell "Green" Bridge. 3km Runners will then make a U-turn near the bridge and make their way back towards the finish line.
Kids 1km
Kids will start and finish at the University of Queensland and run 500m out and 500m back. Parents are permitted to run with kids to help them along the course.

The 3km Fun Run/Walk and 1km Kids Event will start and finish at the Athletics Track at the University of Queensland at St Lucia
Getting to the start
The start is conveniently located at the University of Queensland Athletics Track. Sir William Macgregor Drive, St Lucia. There are a variety of ways to get to the start line, please see below for the method which suits you best.
Car
The most convenient method of transport to the Twilight Running Festival. Plenty of FREE car parking available on Sunday afternoon.
Bus
The University of Queensland has two major bus stops. One opposite the “Green Bridge” which connects West End and the other which connects those travelling from Indooroopilly Shopping Town.

Ferry / City Cat
Connects city cat to University stop. Located approximately 300m from the start of the Twilight Running Festival start line.
Parking
The University of Queensland, St Lucia campus has parking available within metres of the Athletics track. Parking is FREE on Sunday with plenty of parking available.
All medical issues should be directed to the Medical Tent, located in the at the finish Line. If you require any medical assistance on the course at any stage, please inform a race official. If you have a medical condition that could cause you difficulties during the event, please record the details on the back of your race number.
Inadequate training, failing to pace yourself and disregarding the importance of taking fluids can result in life threatening conditions such as heat stroke and dehydration. It is essential that you are adequately prepared before the event and take fluids at every opportunity during the event. |
