About the Event
Welcome to the sunshine state of Australia. Get ready to experience Queensland under the moon and stars at the Twilight Running Festival.
Twilight Running Festival
The Twilight Running Festival was established in 2009 with the aim to create a unique event that welcomes participants of all abilities, whether young or old. From recreational runners through to Olympic athletes, the Twilight Running Festival is so much more than a fun run. The event is set under the moon and stars in March and celebrates the first major half marathon and 10km run events in Queensland each year. Each event finishes within the University of Queensland athletics stadium under flood lighting for a unique experience with crowd cheers welcoming in all participants.
The growth of the Twilight Running Festival from 2000 participants in 2009 through to over 6000 participants, is testament to the events’ popularity within the community, attracting participants from all states and territories, New Zealand and other pacific rim countries. The latest addition to the Twilight family is the addition of the Twilight Bay Run which forms the second part of the Twilight Series and is held in September.
